Lounge chairs carry more of a hotel’s character than almost any other piece. They set the tone of a lobby, anchor a suite’s seating group, and take more daily use than anything except the bed. HFS has manufactured them for five-star properties since 1972, built to the specification your designer supplies.

Lounge seating built for contract use
A lounge chair in a hotel does a job a domestic chair never has to. It is sat in dozens of times a day by people of every size, dragged across floors, cleaned on a schedule, and expected to look the same in year five as it did on handover. That gap between residential and contract is where most furniture fails, and it is the gap our production is set up to close.
Every chair in this category is made to order. We do not hold a catalogue you pick from and take as-is — the pieces shown here are starting points. Frame dimensions, seat height and depth, arm profile, leg detail, timber finish and upholstery are all specified by your design team, and we build to those drawings.
Where these are made
Lounge chairs are handled by our India facility, which is set up for handcrafted joinery and bespoke work — turned legs, shaped arms, hand-finished frames, and upholstery that has to follow a curve rather than a box. The China facility handles high-volume case goods, which is a different discipline entirely. Between them we run 75,000 sq ft of owned production, which means no middlemen and one accountable partner from specification to site.
How a lounge chair order runs
Design development comes first: we work directly with your interior designer to turn the concept into shop drawings that can actually be manufactured. An approval sample follows in three to four weeks, so the finish, the fill and the proportions can be signed off on a real chair rather than a rendering. Production runs against the approved sample, with inspection at every milestone — material grade, finish and hardware checked against specification before anything is dispatched. Sea freight to Jebel Ali runs fourteen to twenty-one days, and delivery is phased to your FF&E programme rather than dumped on site in one load.
Who we build for
Lounge chairs from these facilities are in properties operated by IHCL and Taj, Aman, St. Regis, ITC Hotels, Marriott International, Hilton, Kempinski and IHG. If you are specifying for a hotel, a serviced apartment or a restaurant in the UAE or India, send us the drawings and we will come back on feasibility, lead time and cost.
