Lobby and suite sofas are the largest pieces in the room and the ones guests judge the property by. HFS manufactures contract sofa sets to order — frame, fill and upholstery specified by your design team, built in our own facilities and delivered to site.

Seating that anchors the room

A lobby sofa is a piece of architecture as much as furniture. It sets the scale of the space, directs how people move through it, and is photographed more than anything else in the building. It also carries continuous use in a way domestic seating never does, which is why frame construction and upholstery specification matter as much as the silhouette.

Sofa sets here are made to order in the configuration your scheme requires — two-seat, three-seat, corner, modular runs for a lobby, or a matched set for a suite living room. Dimensions, arm and back profile, seat firmness, leg detail, timber finish and fabric are all specified by your designer.

Handcrafted in India

Upholstered seating is made at our India facility, which is set up for handcrafted joinery and bespoke work. A sofa frame that has to hold its shape for years is a joinery problem before it is an upholstery one, and that is the discipline this facility is built around. Our second facility in China handles high-volume case goods — a different kind of manufacturing, and the reason we can take on a whole property rather than part of one.

Sampling, production and delivery

Design development turns the concept into shop drawings. An approval sample follows in three to four weeks so the seat feel and the finish can be judged on the real piece — for a sofa this is not optional, because comfort cannot be assessed from a drawing. Production runs against the approved sample, every piece is inspected against specification before dispatch, and freight to Jebel Ali takes fourteen to twenty-one days by sea. Delivery is phased to your FF&E programme.
