Taj Dal View

The Vivanta by Taj, Dal View, Srinagar occupies one of the most extraordinary settings in South Asian hospitality — a property where the panorama of Dal Lake and the Zabarwan hills is the defining feature of the guest experience. In this context, every piece of furniture must either disappear gracefully into the space or contribute something worthy of the view it accompanies. There is no middle ground.

HFS delivered fit-out works and loose furniture across the guest rooms, lift lobby, and Tea Lounge — each area presenting a distinct design challenge. The guest rooms required warmth and character without competing with the vistas; the Tea Lounge demanded a considered material vocabulary that honoured Kashmiri tradition while remaining unmistakably contemporary in its hospitality sensibility.

The blend of contemporary and classic design philosophies that underpins this property is precisely the brief that draws on the full range of our craftsmen’s expertise — an ability to work across periods and references, always in service of the guest experience and the brand’s commitment to places of profound beauty.
