A surface doing several jobs
The writing desk in a guestroom is rarely used for writing any more. It is where a laptop sits, where a suitcase gets opened, where make-up is done, and where every device in the room gets charged. That change has consequences for the piece: the surface needs to take more, cable and power routing has to be designed in rather than added later, and the height has to work for someone perched as well as seated.
Desks here are made to order. Top dimension, height, drawer or open configuration, cable and power routing, mirror integration, timber, finish and hardware are specified by your design team and built to the approved drawings.
Case goods production
Guestroom desks are case goods, and case goods at volume are what our China facility is built for — consistent tolerance and finish across every key in the property, so the desk in one room matches the desk in another. Bespoke or handcrafted pieces are made at the India facility. Both are owned, running 75,000 sq ft between them, with no middleman in the chain.
Programme and delivery
Design development resolves the detail that matters most on a desk — where the power actually goes, how cables are managed, how the piece meets the wall. An approval sample follows in three to four weeks. A full guestroom package runs ten to fourteen weeks per fifty keys from kick-off, with desks produced alongside the beds, bedside tables and case goods they have to match in finish. Sea freight to Jebel Ali is fourteen to twenty-one days, and delivery is phased against your handover programme.
